Understanding Cloud Service Qualification Vocabulary

The following will clarify a few terms that play an essential role in understanding the Cloud Service Qualification Platform.

Cloud Service

A cloud service is a service that is accessible via the internet:
  • Provided by cloud service providers
  • Provides functionality that can be used in the development of cloud applications or independently
  • In contrast to conventional software installations on local computers or servers, cloud services offer software and storage solutions remotely
  • Users can access these services from anywhere with an internet connection

Use Case

A use case represents a flexible amalgamation of diverse cloud services utilized across various contexts:
  • Under a single use case, one or more cloud services may be grouped together
  • Multiple use cases may share common services
  • Reflects the versatility and adaptability of cloud service utilization across different scenarios

Deviation

A deviation allows you to recognize an incorrect result in a test execution:
  • Created as soon as a test execution fails
  • All consecutive failing test executions are added to this one deviation
  • You do not get several identical deviations for the same failed test
  • Consider this deviation as one until the test runs again without errors

Risk

During the process of risk assessment, we evaluate risks associated with various aspects of our service:
  • Determines the significance or criticality of utilizing specific features or functionalities
  • Allows understanding of the level of risk involved in employing particular elements
  • Every test is associated with risk
